More Comments Restrictions

One a long time ago I allowed anonymous comments on this blog, but due to the fact that I’m getting at least one spam comment per post, put that little type in the phrase thing on my blog. from what I understand that doesn’t work though. Anyone out there know a decent way to deter spam comments? Read somewhere that adding an extra form between the comment and what else usually catches spam bots in the act.
