1:20 a.m.

it’s 1:20 a.m. and something has happened in Korea. girls outside and argueing loudly with others, someone is sobbing, loudly, now she’s actively sobbing coming up from the subdued sob to a new form. She has been slapped it sounds like, everything is quiet. These altercations on the street are fairly rare, this is perhaps the second one I’ve heard, but they warn you not to get near these situations. Now some type of arguement is winding down, occasionally a voice lifts enough to hear someone settling a dispute by merely agreeing not to talk, instead of agree, but I can think of few arguements that end unlike this one. We are after all comitted to being ourselves, and our views, and often speech is nothing more than a curse on which identity is written, frequently with drawn when peace can get us nowhere.
