Richard Silverstein posted about this release
at his blog

Ernest Ranglin is a Jamaican guitarist that ran into Baaba Maal while touring Africa w/
Jimmy Cliff. The resulting LP In Search of The Lost Riddim has
recently been re-issued, and it’s a beautiful piece of afro-pop.
Building hints of gospel and soul and a little of the mbiria based
tunings that marked hi-life and African pop of the last century.

Correction: this was recorded in 1998 and wasn’t re-issued.
Sorry about that. Seemed like a product of the 70s tour, but
wasn’t recorded until recently.
