Hello Andrew l Jones:

This is your last chance. Your eBay account E1043562 aljones15 is long overdue. You have received many requests to settle your balance of $11.75.

Your account is now suspended from the User Community. If you use other eBay accounts, they will be terminated.

Won’t you rejoin the eBay User Community? If this unpaid balance is the reason for your suspension, then your payment will return you to active status – it’s as simple as that. Please make your payment today.

If you fail to respond to this payment request, eBay may use all legal means necessary to obtain payment of this debt, including the use of professional collection services and attorneys.
I had no idea ebay was so forceful. blockbuster once hired a collection service to get me to pay over due charges.

guydebord.com doesn’t come up

If you want to ensure that the site stays white you have

You might be able to impose universal white on all visitors.

Hey Miltos,

I’ve played around with a few ideas, here’s some mock ups of your
site with text in the source.
1.
A few lines from DeBord’s On The Passage of a Few Persons through a
Rather Brief Period of Time. DeBord says,

They were interested in nothing but an adequate and concrete expression
of themselves.

It’s nice of course because your work plays on the concrete expression
of a self at the
very least, although arguably it might be an adequate expression and
hence be horribly
damned by the scorning wit of Guy DeBord. Regardless, as a work
it’s strangely affective, you encounter the blank page, you open up the
source, and
there lie these fitting lines. Here’s a mock-up of this one
http://homepage.mac.com/aljones15/debord1.html

2.
My own words on the matter aren’t really that good, but here’s my own
attempt at fitting this multi-colored reflection of DeBord with a scrap
of text that perhaps meets the needs of the mystery and mistakes leaping
to thought and expression.

repetition is a poem of the press

This ambiguity is what interests me about these words, because like the
color of debord.com it is dependent on the viewer’s pre-conceptions and
pre-configurations in their browser and mind, both mentally and on the
hard drive, to make what they will. It can be a positive and hence an
affirmation of what has come after DeBord or as a negative. I don’t
think it works though as a piece of art, we are in need of more than
just intelligence to make expression. The mock page for this one is at:
homepage.mac.com/aljones15/debord2.html

3.
Finally, I went ahead and plastered some of The Society of the Spectacle
into the html. It doesn’t work at all.
However if your morbidly curious you can check out:
homepage.mac.com/aljones15/debord3.html

and in English
http://homepage.mac.com/aljones15/debord4.html

Thanks for the response and good luck in your future endeavors.
sorry if my last e-mail was to pseudo-intellectual, but I suppose
that is an accurate description of me.
This game has given me much thought towards some other projects I’m
working on.
Perhaps your work is best simply as a portrait of a Ghost, silenced by
it’s revel
in color and by the way the world only continues to escalate towards the
spectacle, in lieu of trying to find it’s way back from it.
