thanks for posting my comment. yeah had an idea actually to build a CMS that takes all the publicably available bills being proposes in congress (this is in the u.s. but would probably work in canada) and makes them searchable by tags (author name, subject etc.) and let’s people comment on them. Would also let people create bills and other people could add to them. the final result would be to draft a bill and send it back to congress. Anyway, might be worth looking up congress in canada and see if it’s possible. I know the u.s. congress and most state governments publish their proposed bills online. government by wiki in essence.
